I’m Ella, I am a Devon-based artist and have been tattooing since 2015. Inspiration for my tattoos is predominantly drawn from nature, art and literature. I’m particularly interested in all things botanical and animal; magic and ritual; mythology, folklore and story telling; adornment and decoration; historical objects, textiles and jewellery; devotional iconography; Medieval, Gothic, Renaissance & Pre-Raphaelite art. These interests and many more directly inform my creative work.

I studied English Literature and Art History at university.

I also love ceramics, knitting and print making. Find me at the occasional art market flogging my wares! In my spare time I enjoy painting, reading, walking, foraging and learning about plants. I have a lifelong love of music, and play the piano.

I have a cat called Floki, he’s my absolute pride and joy!
