this one of a kind piece is painted with “forever” and lots of flowers on the top, three sacred hearts on one side and three flowers on the other side, and small flowers on the inner drawer.

made with stoneware clay, i build these little boxes by hand with mini slabs of clay. they are then bisque fired, and then i paint them with underglazes, before they are dipped in a transparent glaze and then fired again. it’s a slow process, and you never quite know what’s going to come out of the kiln!
i have made these to be magical heirlooms that can last many lifetimes, in which to keep your most secret and tiniest of treasures - a cherished necklace, precious seeds, a lock of hair, a tooth for the tooth fairy, a love note.
