I drew this piece from photos I’ve taken through lockdown, collaging together flowers from my local walk, from the rose plant outside our front door, from a bouquet my mum and dad sent me for my 5th year tattoo anniversary, and from a beautiful bouquet my florist friend gave me. It’s a fantasy bunch of special lockdown flowers - a reminder from nature that life and beauty coexist with death and suffering always, and there can be reassurance found in that balance. It took me just over 9 hours to create this drawing.
